HOT BOX                    A hot box is an improvised appliance to heat up food, usually with at least two normal incandescent light bulbs as the heat source, that is frequently found in break rooms on construction sites. The enclosure can be made of wood, metal, or any available material that can enclose the heat. It's especially useful for heating up food that could not otherwise be heated in a microwave oven without decanting the contents. Its presence also means that a large rush of people to use any available microwave ovens is tempered by those who are able to have had their meals heated up via this different method. How to Clean Up ?                    Just wipe with warm water and then clean until no dirt karna can cause odor on the box itself.   KETTLE                      A kettle, sometimes called a tea kettle or teakettle, is a type of pot, typically metal, specialized for boiling water, with a lid, spout, and handle, or a small kitchen appliance of s

PRACTICE ACTIVITY 24

Flavored liquids, such as broth or wine, can be used as the heat transfer medium and will also add flavor during the cooking process. Leftover liquids from the cooking process can also be used to make sauce or stock.                    Moist heat methods are particularly useful for softening tough fibers, such as meat protein or plant cellulose. Conversely, the softening effect can be detrimental to some food, there fore making moist-heat a poor choice.                    We make two group for all they to show them what kind method we used but they

COMAL ( COOKWARE )                   A comal is a smooth, flat griddle typically used in Mexico and Central America to cook tortillas, toast spices, sear meat, and generally prepare food. Similar cookware is called a budare in South America. Some comals are concave and made of "barro" (clay). These are still made and used by the indigenous peoples of Mexico and Central America. Comals are similar to the American griddle or the Indian tava, and are often used and named interchangeably with these.           Comals for home use are generally made from heavy cast iron, and sized to fit over either one burner on the stovetop (round) or two burners front to back (elongated oval). In many indigenous and Hispanic cultures, the comal is handed down from grandmother to mother to daughter, the idea being that a comal tempered over many years of usage will heat faster and cook cleaner. History                 The history of such cooking methods dates back to the pre-Columbian

The person in charge of this area is known as the chef garde manger or pantry chef. Larger hotels and restaurants may have garde manger staff to perform additional duties, such as creating decorative elements of buffet presentation like ice carving and edible centerpieces made from materials such as cheese, Thai fruit and vegetable carvings, butter, salt dough or tallow.                  Well guys I'm gonna handle Californ

BRAIZER                       A brazier is a container for hot coals, generally taking the form of an upright standing or hanging metal bowl or box. Used for burning solid fuel, usually charcoal, braziers principally provide heat, but may also be used for cooking and cultural rituals. BEAN POT                       A beanpot is a deep, wide-bellied, short-necked vessel used to cook bean-based dishes. Beanpots are typically made of ceramic, though pots made of other materials, like cast iron, can also be found. The relatively narrow mouth of the beanpot minimizes evaporation and heat loss, while the deep, wide, thick-walled body of the pot facilitates long, slow cooking times.               Beanpots are traditionally associated with New England, in particular Boston, Massachusetts. This association is evident in the nickname Beantown, and the use of the name beanpot for Boston events such as the Beanpot ice hockey tournament.                      Beanpots resemble the Indian handi and the Spanish, Mexican or Native American olla, and may be related to the latter vessel. Unlike the German Römertopf and the Japanese donabe, they are typically glazed both inside and out, and so cannot be used for clay pot cooking. How to Clean Up ?                      Just u

AIR FRYER                    An air fryer is a kitchen appliance that cooks by circulating hot air around the food. A mechanical fan circulates the hot air around the food at high speed, cooking the food and producing a crispy layer via the Maillard effect.                     Traditional frying methods induce the Maillard effect by completely submerging foods in hot or boiling oil. The air fryer works alternatively by coating the desired food in a thin layer of oil while circulating air heated up to 200 °C to confer energy and initiate the reaction. By doing this the appliance is able to fry foods like potato chips, chicken, fish or pastries while using between 70% and 80% less oil than a traditional deep-fryer.                     Most air fryers come with adjustable temperature and timer knobs that allow for more precise cooking. Food is cooked in a cooking basket that sits atop a drip tray. The basket and its contents must be periodically shaken to ensure even oil coverage; so

CORN ROASTER                    A corn roaster is a large grill for cooking large batches of ears of corn at the same time. The term "corn roaster" can also refer to a person who roasts corn. Corn roaster machines have existed in the United States since at least 1900. Corn roasters are used by concession vendors at festivals, fairs, events, parties and holidays, such as the Fourth of July in the United States. Roasted corn is a very popular festival food in the American South, Southwest and Northwest. Corn roasters can also cook foods such as turkey legs potatoes and sweet potatoes. They may also be used by street food vendors. Street vendors may operate seasonally, per the seasonality of corn crops. Some organizations that operate corn roasters at events, such as fairs, donate their proceeds to charities.                    Many commercial corn roasters come mounted on a trailer. The corn roasters use LPG for fuel. Smaller versions exist, such as rotary corn roasters t

PRACTICE ACTIVITY 19

Hi guys, welcome back again in my blog this week so let's star now.                   Well, today I will tell you about my activities in the kitchen this time, my activities today is preparation for A la Carte, as we know À la carte is an English language loan phrase meaning "according to the menu." It was adopted from French in the early 19th century and refers to "food that can be ordered as separate items, rather than part of a set meal."                   The phrase is used in reference to a menu of items priced and ordered separately, which is the usual operation of restaurants. That is in contrast to a table d'hôte, in which a menu has limited or no choice of items and is served at a fixed price. It may also be used to order an item from the menu on its own a steak without potatoes and other vegetables is steak à la carte.                    This time thats really different 'cause is not like a tema anymore but section maybe before like a te
