Hi Guys
Welcome back  on my favorite Blog and this time I will tell you my activities on the kitchen section. Well, I have good new for you guys who like kinds of salad and fresh fruit so that's mean now I move section on the kitchen to Cold Kitchen or Garde Manger, maybe before we talking something hot and now we gonna talking something cold.
As we know, A garde manger (French for "keeper of the food") is a cool, well-ventilated area where cold dishes (such as salads, hors de euvres, appetizers, canapes, pates and terrines) are prepared and other foods are stored under refrigeration. The person in charge of this area is known as the chef garde manger or pantry chef. Larger hotels and restaurants may have garde manger staff to perform additional duties, such as creating decorative elements of buffet presentation like ice carving and edible centerpieces made from materials such as cheese, Thai fruit and vegetable carvings, butter, salt dough or tallow.
Modern garde manger can refer to different things in the professional kitchen. In many restaurants it is a station which is generally an entry-level cooking position within a restaurant, as it often involves preparing salads or other smaller plates which can be heated and quickly plated without significant experience. In other high-profile classically influenced restaurants and hotels, the position pertains to the classical preparations, which often include pates, terrines and elaborate aspics.

A salad bar is a buffet-style table or counter at a restaurant or food market on which salad components are provided for customers to assemble their own salad plates. Most salad bars provide lettuce, chopped tomatoes, assorted raw, sliced vegetables (such as cucumbers, carrots, celery, olives and green or red bell peppers), dried bread croutons, bacon bits, shredded cheese, and various types of salad dressing. Some salad bars also have additional food items such as cooked cold meats, (turkey, chicken, ham, or tuna), cooked beans (chick peas, garbanzo beans or kidney beans), boiled eggs, cottage cheese, cold pasta salads, tortilla chips, bread rolls, soup, and fresh cut fruit slices.

We have kinds of dressing for salad like as French Dressing, Thousand Island, Ceasar Sauce etc. and also we have kinds Arabians Dressing are Hummus, Baba Ganoush, and Moutabal, and also Arabian Pickles, kinds Yoghurt, Cheese, Green and Black Olive Oil.

Slice Fruits is one of part in Breakfast both of the slices of fruit and also Whole Fruits for slice fruits like as Papaya, Watermelon, and Yellow Watermelon, and for Whole Fruits like as Green Apple, Banana, Mangosteen, and Salak.

Juice is a beverage made from the extraction or pressing of the natural liquid contained in fruit and vegetables. It can also refer to liquids that are flavored with concentrate or other biological food sources, such as meat or seafood, such as clam juice. Juice is commonly consumed as a beverage or used as an ingredient or flavoring in foods or other beverages, as for smoothies. Juice emerged as a popular beverage choice after the development of pasteurization methods enabled its preservation without using fermentation (which is used in wine production). We have Apple Juice, Guava Juice, and Orange Juice.

Breakfast cereals (or cereals) are foods generally eaten as breakfast. These foods are generally eaten cold, and eaten with milk, water or yogurt, or eaten directly. Some types of cereal, such as oatmeal, can be heated so that it becomes like mush. Cereals are generally promoted as a health supplement by eating a high-fiber breakfast. Cereals also contain vitamins and minerals. But there are some cereals that contain high levels of sugar. The most famous cereal products are corn flakes. We have Corn Flakes, Coco Crunch, and Rice Crispy.
Well, I think enough for this time for my new section in the kitchen and I will tell you more in the next Blog soon so thanks for you attention and see you again guys.

PRACTICE ACTIVITY 9 (IND VER)

Jenis Tapai

FRENCH DRESSING SAUCE                  French dressing is a term originally used for any oil-and-vinegar-based salad dressing. Today, it refers to a creamy ketchup-based dressing which varies in color from pale orange to bright red. It can be made by blending olive oil, vinegar, tomato paste, ketchup, brown sugar, paprika, and salt. In the United States during the 1950s, manufactured "French dressing" was developed.
