PRACTICE ACTIVITY 30

Hi guys, welcome back.
This time really different maybe another blog talking about my activities on the kitchen but not cooking but become incharges in semester one, and now they gonna make basic Bakery, they gonna make Danish and Toast Bread.

Danish
The origin of the Danish pastry is often ascribed to a strike amongst bakery workers in Denmark in 1850. The strike caused bakery owners to hire workers from abroad, among them several Austrian bakers, who brought along new baking traditions and pastry recipes. The Austrian pastry of Plundergebäck soon became popular in Denmark and after the labour disputes ended, Danish bakers adopted the Austrian recipes, adjusting them to their own liking and traditions by increasing the amount of egg and fat for example. This development resulted in what is now known as the Danish pastry.
One of the baking techniques and traditions that the Austrian bakers brought with them was the Viennese lamination technique. Due to such novelties the Danes called the pastry technique "wienerbrød" (Vienna bread) and, as mentioned, that name is still in use in Northern Europe today. At that time, almost all baked goods in Denmark were given exotic names.

Toast Bread

Toast is sliced bread that has been browned by exposure to radiant heat. This browning is the result of a Maillard reaction altering the flavor of the bread and making it firmer so that it is easier to spread toppings on it. Toasting is a common method of making stale bread more palatable. Bread is often toasted using a toaster, but toaster ovens are also used.
Toast is commonly eaten with butter or margarine and sweetened toppings, such as jam or jelly. Regionally, savoury spreads, such as peanut butter or yeast extracts, may also be popular. When buttered, toast may also be served as an accompaniment to savoury dishes, especially soups or stews, or topped with heartier ingredients like eggs or baked beans as a light meal. Toast is a common breakfast food. While slices of bread are most common, bagels and English muffins are also toasted. Scientific studies in the early 2000s found that toast may contain carcinogens caused by the browning process.

But before they doing my senior will showing first how to make Danish and Toast Bread and explain ingredients can used and function.

After that we make two group and six section to make easy, me and my friends will become helper when they not undertand or some question.
So guys thats my activities this time, thank you for your attention guys.

PRACTICE ACTIVITY 9 (IND VER)

Jenis Tapai

FRENCH DRESSING SAUCE                  French dressing is a term originally used for any oil-and-vinegar-based salad dressing. Today, it refers to a creamy ketchup-based dressing which varies in color from pale orange to bright red. It can be made by blending olive oil, vinegar, tomato paste, ketchup, brown sugar, paprika, and salt. In the United States during the 1950s, manufactured "French dressing" was developed. The manufactured version is sweet in taste and colored orange-to-red from the use of paprika and tomatoes. In manufactured versions, "French dressing" is generally a pale orange and creamy, while "Catalina French dressing" is generally bright red and less creamy in nature.                   The term French dressing or Vinaigratte used in food processing is an unstable mixture or emulsion between oil, water and spices. Hi You,           I will tell you about my activities as usual in the kitchen and this time I will make one of the Traditional Cakes, Lapis Legit ( Spekkoek ), Lapis Legit is no stranger to Indonesians because there are many productions that make it easy to reach then the price is friendly in the mother's pocket , indirectly discussing Lapis Legit will definitely think of cakes that have many layers that have yellow color and each layer is brownish and tastes distinctive so on this occasion I will explain how to make this Traditional Cake.            Spekkoek (kue lapis legit or spekuk in Indonesian) is a type of Indonesian layer cake. It was developed during colonial times in the Dutch East Indies. The firm-textured cake is an Indo (Dutch-Indonesian) version of the European multi-layered spit cake.
