PRACTICE ACTIVITY 29

Hi guys
This opportunity I will tell you about my activities on the kitchen, I'm still in A'la Carte Menu and for this time I'm gonna explain how to make Onion Ring.
Onion rings are a form of appetizer or side dish commonly found in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and some parts of Asia and Continental Europe. They generally consist of a cross-sectional "ring" of onion (the circular structure of which lends itself well to this method of preparation) dipped in batter or bread crumbs and then deep fried; a variant is made with onion paste. Onion rings are sometimes accompanied by condiments including ketchup, mayonnaise or other sauces. While typically served as a side dish, onion rings can also be eaten on their own. Like other cooked onion dishes, the cooking process decomposes propanethial oxide in the onion into the sweet smelling and tasting bispropenyl disulfide, responsible for the slightly sweet taste of onion rings.

The first is make dough of Onion Ring and Bread Crumb for breaded the onion.

We cut the Onion like a ring and than heat the oil with medium heat.

And than for the Sauce is Tartar Sauce, Tartar sauce is based on either mayonnaise (egg yolk, mustard or vinegar, oil) or aioli (egg yolk, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice), with certain other ingredients added. In many places, cream of tartar is used. In the UK, recipes typically add to the base capers, gherkins, lemon juice, and dill. US recipes may include chopped pickles or prepared green sweet relish, capers, onions (or chives), and fresh parsley. Chopped hard-boiled eggs or olives are sometimes added, as may be Dijon mustard and cocktail onions. Paul Bocuse describes sauce tartare explicitly as a sauce remoulade, in which the characterising anchovy purée is to be substituted by some hot Dijon mustard.
So guys thats my activities on the kitchen I hope you enjoy and if you have some question just comment below anf thank you for your attention guys.

PRACTICE ACTIVITY 9 (IND VER)

Jenis Tapai

FRENCH DRESSING SAUCE                  French dressing is a term originally used for any oil-and-vinegar-based salad dressing. Today, it refers to a creamy ketchup-based dressing which varies in color from pale orange to bright red. It can be made by blending olive oil, vinegar, tomato paste, ketchup, brown sugar, paprika, and salt. In the United States during the 1950s, manufactured "French dressing" was developed. The manufactured version is sweet in taste and colored orange-to-red from the use of paprika and tomatoes. In manufactured versions, "French dressing" is generally a pale orange and creamy, while "Catalina French dressing" is generally bright red and less creamy in nature.                   The term French dressing or Vinaigratte used in food processing is an unstable mixture or emulsion between oil, water and spices.
